CEO Erik Bakstad received the prestigious award on behalf of the company during the Nordic SaaS conference SaaSiest 2023.
Last week, SaaS Nordic held its conference, SaaSiest, in Malmö. The popular vote award “SaaSiest Company” was presented at the event and Ardoq was the company recieving the acknowledgement. Bakstad himself was present and accepted the award on behalf of the company.
"We appreciate this award immensely! Ardoq has gradually become a well-known brand among Nordic tech companies, and the fact that we can win an award in this SaaS community makes me very proud. I am the one who accepted the award here in Malmö, but I share this with our entire team who are based around the world and who work together every day to ensure our success."
Ardoq delivers a cloud-based collaboration platform that lets enterprises document their organization. Recently the company was categorized as a future unicorn in the Nordic Scaleup Landscape report by Nordic Innovation. According to Bakstad, the jury highlighted that Ardoq is a challenger in its own category with solid growth, and that the company shares knowledge with the rest of the SaaS community. Bakstad is particularly pleased with the latter.
"The Nordic tech environment holds high standards, and I believe that sharing our experiences is crucial for us to be successful in the rest of the world as well. Even if you are the one sharing and telling your story, there are many interesting insights as a result of questions and reflections from those listening. We all benefit from that and that's why I applaud events like this where we come together and can learn from each other."
The other nominees for the award were Voyado, LM365, and Dealfront.
Experiencing High Growth in Great Britain and in the United States
The software company showed a 75% income growth last year and almost doubled the number of employees after the cap raise led by EQT Growth last spring. Ardoq has a strong position in its home market and is now seeing that demand is increasing significantly in other markets as well.
"We have gained the trust of large players with complex organizations. This has required a lot from us and has contributed to an even stronger product in addition to gaining important experience, especially since we mainly have large businesses as our target group."
In March, the company also added The Cabinet Office in the UK to its client list. According to Bakstad, they are not the only clients in the UK Government.
"Last year we were approved as a G-Cloud supplier to the UK public sector. Now are working with HM Courts and Tribunal Service, HM Passport Office and the Department for Transport as customers, to name a few, in addition to the Cabinet Office."
Ardoq was founded in 2013 by Erik Bakstad and Magnulf Pilskog.
