Ardoq is thrilled to announce a major enhancement to the company’s boardroom and go-to-market strategy, welcoming members with experience from leading tech giants such as Google, Dropbox, Microsoft, Twitter, and Slack.
Market disruptor Ardoq has experienced strong momentum over the last years due to its progressive platform developed to help companies navigate digital transformation. With customers like ExxonMobil, ETH Zurich and MUFG, they are now expanding their board to enhance their market position even further.
Renowned for her strategic prowess and extensive experience, Bridget Shea brings a wealth of insights and expertise from leading SaaS companies’ efforts to embark on the enterprise market. Shea currently serves as Chief Customer Officer at Dataiku, a leading company within AI and machine learning. She has extensive experience from other technology companies, such as Microsoft, Twitter, Yext and Datorama (acquired by Salesforce), and is based in New York.
Johann Butting has spent the last three decades in the global technology industry. Amongst others he has served in senior Go-To-Market roles at Slack, Dropbox and Google. Earlier in his career he founded, built and sold two SaaS companies in the US. Serving as Non-Executive-Director on the board of several leading SaaS companies and possessing an engineering background, Butting offers a unique blend of strategic, business, and product-centric insights, which will be invaluable to Ardoq's enterprise efforts.
"At Ardoq we are for sure leveling up our game, and their input will be instrumental as we chart the course for our journey ahead."
Erik Bakstad, CEO at Ardoq
CEO Erik Bakstad is thrilled about the appointment, stating, "We are delighted to welcome both Bridget and Johann to our board. They will undoubtedly contribute with tons of knowledge and experience from leading SaaS platforms that are huge success stories. At Ardoq we are for sure leveling up our game, and their input will be instrumental as we chart the course for our journey ahead."
Shea shared her excitement, remarking, "It is an honor to join the board of Ardoq. The powerful platform is very impressive and the opportunities are immense. I am eager to collaborate with the esteemed board members and contribute my expertise to fuel the company's innovation and growth."
“I am very glad to be a part of Ardoq at this point of time. I know from conversations with many CIOs and CTOs that Enterprise Architecture is becoming an ever more important topic. Ardoq’s platform gets to the heart of the business problems that Architects need to solve. At the same time it’s easy to use and provides exactly the right level of visibility to the various stakeholders of enterprise architecture. I look forward to getting to know the company on a deeper level and working more closely with both the board and the leadership team,” says Butting.
A Board That Challenges and Inspires
After the cap raise in 2022, led by EQT Growth and OnePeak, Ardoq has focused on building its organization and elevating the product development. As a result of the round, the board brought on new members, amongst others Jonas Persson. This fall he took over as the chairman of the board. With Shea and Butting as new members, Persson said the shared skillset on the board serves as a solid foundation for the work ahead.
"I have been a part of the Ardoq journey for 2 years, and I have experienced a strongly committed team with a world-class platform. I am sure the team has what it takes to propel the company to the next level. With the renewed board including both Bridget and Johann, I am also confident that they have the support needed as well,” Persson says.
CEO Erik Bakstad is already seeing the effect of the new Board of Directors.
“As we are planning our efforts for 2024, we clearly see an active board that brings real value to the discussions. They challenge us, share knowledge and experiences with us and inspire us. We are lucky to have such an engaging and present board” Bakstad concludes.
